I'm looking for an 8GB SDHC card to upgrade my current shooting capacity (from a couple of 2GB and 1GB cards), especially for photo trips and holidays.
I read that the K100D Super write speed is the limiting factor and won't benefit much from a fast card.. So either a Kingston or Sandisk normal SDHC should do. Right? I don't foresee upgrading until the next gen of Pentax bodies is out. (Btw I'm really quite annoyed by the super-long screen blackout and stalled camera while it's flushing the buffer after three consecutive RAW shots..) Im not sure about the K100D but the Kingston 8GB SDHC is working well for my K10D.
You can get it online at ebay for just $23.99. |

8GB sd Card is not really big, if you shoot in Raw ... you feel not enough...esp K20D for full day..
8GB sd HC, is good enough for K100d. |

I saw Kingston 8GB class 6 selling for SGD25.50 at Sitex. Could be cheaper I think, judging from the price in Sim Lim. Sandisk Ultra II 8GB class 6 selling for SGD33.

I think its class 6 as well
But it got this 15mb/sec transfer rate in front of the box. Anyway I got myself the Kingston 8GB Class 6 at 25.50. Cheaper than my Sandisk 4GB Class 6 I got earlier this year . |

I bought a Kingston 8GB Class 6 at Sitex this afternoon too! For less than half the $60 I spent to buy a 4GB Class 2 last year...sigh..
But had I seen the Sandisk Ultra II Class 6 at $33, I probably would have gotten it instead. Just tried the Kingston in my K200D taking continuous raw shots but does not seem to feel any faster than my 4GB Class 2... ![]()
