Changing focusing screens for Olympus E-3

Hi,

I'm thinking of changing the focusing screen for my E-3 to FS-1. I had phoned Olympus SG customer service & they said that servicing will cost around 40 to 140 sgd to recalibrate the camera once the focusing screen is changed. The focusing screen itself costs around 40 sgd. But the guy I talked to at Olympus sounded a bit unsure of the price quote.

If you have had your focusing screen changed. What's your review of the new screen? My main objective is for me to focus better manually. But I don't want the screen to obstruct me of my view in the viewfinder.

this should be posted in the four thirds subforum for more answer,I'm curious as to why you want to change your focusing screen to FS-1?with 3 focusing points when E-3 has 11?in what ways do you think it will help you focus better manually?I can focus well in all E-system cameras without any problems with any type of focusing screen,I'm just curious though,not intending to show off or anything

btw ot a bit, is there split screen for olyE420 by oly?
