    Default Ultra-wide compact camera

Do you think there will ever be a compact camera with a 20mm lens?

For compact Camera, so far only know Samsung with 24mm, Panasonic with 25mm. 28mm is quite common in all the brands.

20mm.... er... may have to wait.

Well remember... the lens is not 20mm, but it becomes 20mm equiv. due to the crop factor of the tiny sensor. So they either increase the sensor size, or really need to improve the lens design.

But at 20mm equiv, the front element of the lens might stick out a bit, which may not be a smart thing in the consumer PnS world.

Distortion may be an issue, with a lens that small... I'm not light physicist... Just a average Joe postulating...
