Default Is there school that teach journalism anyone can enter?

Just odd that compared to western countries where as long pass equivalent O level can apply, SG must have damn high score for poly level and relevant diploma to even consider entry to Uni level?

If i am wrong please correct. Got a friend very serious about getting into journalism just that his "O" level points is in the double digits rather then single digit. Are there any private but accredited courses around or must go overseas?
You wont see me much less remember me but i am the guy who makes you look good.

We usually ask for evidence of good academic achievement and potential. That means grade ABB at GCE A Level, or the equivalent (see the table below). You must apply through UCAS.

    well in terms of distance.

    from New Zealand alone,

    http://www.hrc.co.nz/home/hrc/racere...journalism.php

    From Australia,

Locally can only find http://www.beacon.edu.sg/Diploma-in-Journalism.html but there could be others that are accredited.

he isnt looking for a degree just a certificate to get started with and once he is established then will work on degree if needed.

i opened those links, i'm not that into journalism nor did i ever want to do a degree in it but i have friends who did.

i haven't heard of those schools you gave me. are they like, notables on the journalism stage?

as spastic as it sounds, it is not all about the paper, but you can't do without a good paper either.

you want a good school, you should seriously consider Murdoch Uni. It's pretty well-known for its Mass Communication courses there. These includes Journalism, Media Studies, Media Technologies and Policies and so forth. http://www.murdoch.edu.au or http://www.sma.edu.sg

hah. im currently studyin media studies in murdoch perth.

actually, if your friend wants to work for 156th (or whatever lousy ranking it is at now), a degree in arts or business will do.
weird but true. i'm in ntu communication studies now and i realised that if you study business or arts, you're somehow better than someone who graduated majoring in journ because you have the soft skills and the knowledge to write for the papers, whereas journ school teaches the skill of writing which can be picked up on the job with no big problem.

double digit o level points can still apply to jc or poly here, dont lose heart.
