I've alway been used to split screen focusing on my x700 minolta, but on a DSLR, do we get a green focus confirm in the viewfinder when using an AIS lens? I understand there will be non for the older non AIS version but AIS?
Also are they any focus screens that can be adapted to the D90? How do you guys guage focus via a viewfinder besides seeing it sharp? I'm sure there's some method the MFs user use? |

Thanks, good to know it works as I'm waiting for my voigtlander 58mm f1.4 from chiif On MF cameras with split image focusing, any long lens with f5.6 and above is very dark thru the viewfinder.. hard to focus (and hold at the same time) if you don't have an edge/contrast line to focus on so I'd expect AF confirm with the sensors of modern cam will be erratic also.. |
