    *mod mode off*

Wonder why people find it funny to see CS featured as something sleazy... sigh...

Whoever wants to know the CS contributor can PM me .... I know exactly who it COULD BE ....

Let me correct myself ... there are 2 suspect as to who the contributors are ... they are probably reading this thread at this moment as well ...

it's a hobby of CSers, forming lists for everything.

but yes, it is illegal to form an "angry mob".

Well, all of us know we can't do that as close verification and monitoring of such people will no doubt result on time wasted.

The remark itself was supposed to be a 'kickback' quote in the TNP in relation to what one of the lawyers stated about being "in a private place but yet in public view". If that is the case then the shrouding of such shoots in the future is called for whether you use curtains or planks to prevent anyone else from looking in.

But what concerns me here is that while we need to protect the model, which is of course the first and foremost priority, protection of the shooter is also needed as well. No doubt that the shooter may be crossing some very thinly veiled lines (no pun intended) in terms of legal issues here, but nonetheless, every shooter should hold the discretion of what he or she can post online which in the process can offend others. We often see posts regardless of whether nude or not, even some poses, despite the fact that the model is not exposed in any way or obscene in nature can be deemed other wise. If anyone were to speak to any lawyer on this issue, out of 10, 4 will give you different answers. The rest will be similar or just marginally different.

Fact of the matter is this: in SG, as long as one purveys or disseminate obscene pictures vastly via means of print or otherwise, you can be charged. If one does take or film such acts, you can be charged (makes pple wonder if the 5D Mark II...).

Right now there are so many greys in this area that no one can rightly address in terms of legality. Whether or not such shoots like that are lewd or illegal or whatever the case is will only bring more questions into the picture. So I reckon that while models can be protected by the shoot organiser or agent, the shooter must protect himself from having a backlash , just because he had done a nude photo shoot with a model, who is in this case an adult film actress.

Off record, the story was probably someone from CS and this was either a tipoff or the reporter actually is a CS member himself, and you are probably right. The intention was to highlight activities like that going on and probably close the lid on such shoots in the future.

Let us be realistic here. At the end of the day, there has and always will be a market for such shoots. Such an article while giving rise to public attention, may in a warp sense, generate an even broader market for such shoots. If that is the case, then we need mechanism to protect shooters. Unless the shooter himself gets into trouble on his own accord by releasing pics like that to his friends, only to have it passed on, then I can only say good luck to him.

ahemitsthenewpaperahem. not a filler story per se, but a less significant human interest story, sensationalised to be fit for front page printing.

if the intent was the stop these shoots shouldn't the cops be descending on cs right now?
face it la all this is is tnp's sensationalism at work again.

Awww.. *puts down bonfire and pitchfork*

Oh well, i'm happy i'm more into street and event photography. Modelling is nice to delve into, but nude modelling is risque. Better to leave to the professionals, because amateurs like me don't know if there are hidden risks and how to negotiate contracts.

And it's pretty much make or break. If the theme and model's expression is not up-to-par it might give you away as a pervographer. Hey, new word!

Agreed...this is sensationalism at work by TNP.

But, the police will not come down on CS. MDA will if and only if the site breaches its policies.
