k20d and dng, pef format
Hey all,
i just got my new k20d today!! yeay me! Took some photos, so happy ... I only take photos in raw format ... Than i loaded photos from camera to my pc and my phase one 3.7 doesnt open images ...  i got realy used to phase one and i dont want to xchange it for some other program. Is there a fix so i can open k20d raw format in phase one program?best regards, heki

best bet is to used pentax very own utility software or lightroom/CS2/CS3... else just shoot jpg... K20D jpg is very much usable nowadays...

Jpeg is very convienient, but using raw can safe you from trouble about your ISO/WB, using Pentax software, or in camera post editing .. Jpeg can can do incamera but but must be immediate after the pic is taken.

I using Phase 1 too.
You can download the update if you still have free update left, or upgrade to new Capture One 4. You can too use Lightroom to import Raw. For me, still like the Capture one to process Raw. |

i just use the pentax software
most of the tweaking i do in ps cs 2 anyways. |

hm,
there is no way u can process a .jpg the way u can process a .raw format! i am talking about whole process, from wb to shapening ... everything! the results u get from phase one after processing the raw file cant be achived with processing jpg file ...

Why not use Adobe Lightroom? Simple and straightforward.

i studied phase one in and out ... dun want to try anything else ... but i guess ill have to
