Here's what I bought at Popular bookstore...
1. Black cloth tape (36mm x 12Y) = $3.20 2. Black corrugated board (20x15) = $1.60 3. Black paper = $1.70 The following is the end product... ![]() ![]() ![]() Managed to make 2 snoots from the 1 corrugated board. ![]() |

Very Interesting DIY Snoot you made. I already made one DIY myself without buying materials. I just looked for used black papers like magazines and rolled them into small round and attached them togther with double sided tapes. Then put them sticking with used foam sheet. That is how I made this. My fellow Pentaxians were very surprised to see my creative DIY Snoot and also I can insert only 3 different colours gel into thin hole of snoot.

hehe... as long as it works... and the picture tells a thousands words... even if the equipment looks ugly
![]() here is a pic of the grid snoot at work. the grid snoot was used to focus the light on the subject at the "heart" area. ![]() i've got another snoot without the grids that throw the light more. |

thanks for sharing. I did mine using soft foam and velcrow. Did certainly improve the mounting speed compared to just using paper.
Not sure about the corrugated grid though. Have you got the effect of with and without the grid? Once again, thanks for sharing. |

the edges will be much more diffused, it will be less concentrated beam. make a telescopic on so can adjust the effect, or make the honey comb as insert, so it is more flexible.
