Default sony flsh HVL-F42AM or HVL-F58AM??

im planning to buy sony HVL-F42AM fashgun , is it this flash worth to buy? i scare will regret after bought, pls give some commend, thanks!

The 42 and 58 are both very good flash guns. The 58 will of course give more flexibility with it's highly articulated head, but the 42 will do very well too.

If I had no budget issues, I would go for 58.

The 42 will do but if you want to expand beyond a mounted flash, then the 58 gives you wireless trigger capabilties...

Just buy one of them. You won't regret it. You can always sell the 42 when you've outgrown it.

the f42 can be triggered by the onboard camera's flash wirelessly. if budget no concern, get the f58, the head swivel is useful.

But you can't use the 42 as a remote commander if you want frontal fill flash... so if money no object the 58 is a lot more versatile...
