Hi,
As above, are there any alternatives to a 35mm prime other than SAL35F14G? (which costs quite a bit) The idea is that i would like a lens that allows me to shoot @ 50mm, and given that the A200 has a crop factor of 1.5x, a 35mm would come the closest to what i want. (35 x 1.5 = 52.5mm) Or would if make not much of a difference if i use the SAL50F14? (i know this has been discussed somewhat on this forum) |

source for a minolta 35mm f2.
it's not too commonly available, but definitely much cheaper than the G lens |

I personally own the sigma 30mm f1.4 and must say it is perfect for crop sensors to shoot at approx. 50mm(in terms of full-frame)..and its not too tight unlike using a 50mm on a crop sensor

Guess the Sigma 30mm f1.4 would be the choice lens then.
