I bought a new EOS 10D about a month ago, and I'm stuffed if I can find a way to make the pics black and white, except for in post. I'd love to take some black and white photo's with my 10D...is there any way to do this with the camera? or do they have to be modified in post production?
Thanks |

You have to do it with PS, or so call, post-processing.. there is no setting on the camera, unlike prosumer cameras.

Read the manual!
Custom Function 18 allows you to set Colour, B&W, Sepia or InfraRed. ![]() |

Okay lah ... jokes aside, to get B&W or whatever effects, i.e. sepia and such, you'll have to do post-processing using softwares like Photoshop ...
For a moment, I nearly dug up my manual ... ![]() |

Can read up Photoshop books on what settings to use in the Channel Mixer to get the B&W effects. Or less get ready made actions to convert the color images to B&W eg. the Digital B&W PRO Action from Fred Miranda

get a D1x... there's a command function to switch to B&W shots, which is beautiful esp when combined with the noise "grain" of the Hi1 & Hi2 settings (ISO 1600 and 3200). kekeke
