Default charging Enelops on Energizer USB Charger

hey peeps, not sure where to post this topic so here it is..
anyone having any experience in using the energizer usb charger to charge enelops? reason being me having a few energizer chargers at home, 1 usb, 1 quick charge and the normal 4pcs-at-one-go type, so im thinking of saving the money of buying another charger and just go for the enelops

anyone can give advice? couldnt find much when i search

USB charger is one of the slowest chargers imo but if your computer is never off, by all means then.

I would go for Maha chargers with Eneloops or Imedions.

I charge my Eneloops with Sony Charger, no problems. I dont see any problems using a 3rd party to do the charging, as long it is able to supply the required amp.

Well, you can do yourself a quick test. Check if the batteries are hot after charging. When I say hot, I mean you almost cannot touch them, that level of heat. If they are lukewarm, you are fine. If they end charge when they are hot, you can be certain that their lifespan will be severely shortened.

I used Maha PowerEx 2500 on the C801 8 cell charger from Maha. And yes, they charged HOT, very hot. Think there was something wrong with the batteries too, but they died within 6 months. Advice to all who use Sanyo Enerloops, GP ReCyCo, Maha Imedions, and Sony Cycle Energy "Ready to Use", charge them at low charge rates if you can control them. Select slow charge instead of fast 1 hour charging.

hi kkcharles82, thanks for the advise, that's also one reason why i'm thinking of using usb charger, since the charge is trickle and im at my table more than 10 hours a day, it should be just ample for me to charge 2-4 AA

You may charge eneloop batteries on any charger.

Yup. It is always better to slow charge the batteries so that the live span of the batteries is prolonged.
