pick up some books to understand what sharpening is; what an oversharpened image looks like

what just right is

on the other hand, sharpening from printing is different from web-posting.

personally, i recommend you explore the unsharp mask tool.

Just want to know what people here normally do for sharpening the image.

I use sharp lenses, so hardly need to sharpen my images, except when downsize for web jpg.

btw, there are many many ways of sharpening images, from sharpen, unsharp mask, sharpen in LAB, etc etc.....so the best advice is really "Google it".

and I can add another tip for you, search it in Youtube, you will be amazed what can you find inside there.

you have to do your own research, so the knowledge will be yours, if you really really can't find any answer, many people will be very happy to share with you.

you just prove what night86mare say is correct!

btw, you are the thread starter, you CAN close this thread yourself.

i don't mind sharing, but you see, if want to write, i know maybe 5 methods; someone told me there are even more

learning yourself is the best, because you internalise it..

i didn't mean to offend you, but if you are, i apologise.
