    Default Newbie Alert!

    Hi everyone,

I am new to CS and would like to learn more from the pros here. Anyway I am not a photographer but a designer instead, have been browsing here for quite sometime but did not post.

    See ya around

Only you can answer that... Try all sorts of pictures, from portraits to events to architecture to macro... See which one makes you happiest.

depends what you want to do...there are people whose portfolio almost all are cars or airplanes or even shoes. You intend it as a hobby or to make a living from it?

good practice is to look at stock photos and try to guess how its taken and see if you can reproduce it.

as for places, even a carpark or local zoo are good starting places.

Before you even begin to think of charging money for it (freelancing) make sure you know what you're doing. If you still needs a lot of guidance, you're not ready to make money from it.
