Titled ‘The Demon in the Water’, the exhibition will be held from 27th of November to 3rd December 2008, at Vivocity’s South Avenue. 14 photographs portraying the problems of water sanitation in Cambodia will be showcased at the exhibition. This is the official International Year of Sanitation. As such, the World Toilet Organisation will also be displaying pieces of toilet seat art by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Students and Lasalle College of the Arts. The reporting trip, organised in early September as part of Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s collaboration with Lien Aid, a local non-governmental organisation, saw 6 FMS students travel to three locations in Cambodia to document the lives of the locals. Focusing on arsenic poisoning, poor water sanitation and open defecation, the photographs will bring across the message of how others lead their lives in other parts of the world, and how solutions are being come up with to help them. Admission to the exhibition is free. ![]() Organiser: Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Film & Media Studies Co-organiser: Lien Aid Supporting organisations: World Toilet Organisation, NAFA, LASALLE Funding: Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Lien Foundation Main sponsor: Nikon Singapore Pte Ltd Venue sponsor: Vivocity Print sponsor: Kim Tian Digital Sponsors: PUB, Gloria Jean's Coffee, Cathay Photo Official media: npTribune Also see Facebook for more details! Hi everyone!
Thanks for all the support in this exhibition! We received a tremendous response from local and overseas passer-bys, and raised quite abit of awareness. This exhibition closes tonight at 10PM. I'm heading down later today to make a closure. Thanks! ![]() Last edited by reminiscence; 4th December 2008 at 11:56 AM. |
