Hey bros. Just wanna ask. Must your receipt be present when you want to send for servicing at SSC or your warranty card enough?

Thanks.

if you have registed online then they should have your info.. no receipt require then. However, if you did not then better bring your receipt down.

I've never, ever, been asked for receipt. If you purchased in HK and got international warranty, the item is already registered in their database. If you registered it on mysony, you don't need to bring anything.

What if you bought a 2nd hand kit lens from someone (E-warranty being registered by the 1st owner), and then the kit lens requires servicing.

What happens then?

If the warranty is still valid, SSC can simply call up the lens' serial number and verify it is still under warranty... no worries there...

?!? Doesn't matter whose name it's registered in as long as (1) the lens is in your hands when you hand it in, and (2) the warranty is still valid... just send it in and don't say you bought it second hand lor... don't think they even will check... just too many customers to do this kind of stuff...

Yes, don't mentioned you bought over. If you need, just say it was given to you. Watever the case may be, if it's still under warranty, SSC must honour it.
