Dear Moderator,
please allow me to offer my opinion on the AP stuff ( which is currently closed ). Personally, I do not think Alternative is the proper word used for this segment of photography. In fact, in photographic college/academy/school, silver halide coating on glass plate, camera obscura and pinhole are suppose to be the earliest lesson to be learned. It is from here that photography progress till today. So, I would have rather accept Authentic/Original/Basic as to Alternative. However, I respect the CS decision as final, just like techno and glam rock. Anyway, this is just my personal thought, glad to know that more people are using films now. Perhaps later on will see more people buying developer, fixer, hypo clearing and enlarger. |
