    Hi All,

I have Nikon D80 camera, when I connect Camera to PC to download pictures, it is not recognised by PC. What could be the problem.

What is your OS? Have you tried on another USB port?

if you are running XP, the camera will be automatically detected by the Camrea and Scanners wizard. Try a second USB port or even another USB cable.

that's right. you need to install the software that is supplied with the CD. it includes all the drivers. pls install it before you start downloading your pics

Hi, sorry to come into your thread...
I have also encountered this problem on a Macbook. I could not transfer the photos using a USB cable connecting to camera. This was at a friend's place and he did not have a CF card reader so our only option was to try this but it did not work. Anyone knows how to get it to work? Is it because the software wasn't installed?
