I'm looking for a bag that'll fit a EOS 450D, 18-55mm, 50mm, and 55-250mm lenses. Which is more suitable?
Or you guys can recommend me other models that'll fit even better. Thanks ![]() |

I do believe both will fit comfortably, but it's whether you're comfortable with a one-shoulder cross-sling, or a backpack.

For me, I prefer Flipside to Slingshot because having 2 straps on the shoulders is more comfortable than having 1 strap on 1 shoulder.

I never liked the slingshot because I'm a person who wears the sling of any sling / shoulder bag on my left, and the slingshot's on the right.
I like the flipside 200. It will definitely be able to fit all your current gear, as well as a flash at the top in future. I will get either the 200 or 300 for my next bag purchase. Cheers, Zexun

Thanks for the replies guys, but, the it seems like it's harder to get your gear out using the flipside. Anyone can correct me?

That's the point for the flipside, so that in crowded areas, no one can bump into you, pull the zip of your slingshot and take out the lenses / cameras.

I think i'll follow what you guys said, go down and try. Thanks.
But, would either bag be sufficient? Or should by the Flipside 300, or Slingshot 300? Last edited by La Vida; 7th November 2008 at 01:54 PM. |

You've got yourself the best economical setup for a newbie. The most I'll probably recommend you to buy next would be a 430EXII and be done with it. Yes, either bag will suit your gear well, with or without the 430EXII. But note that it means only bringing your gear out, no other stuff like jackets or whatnot.
Cheers, Zexun

to me, flipside access to camera gear is very easy. just flip the bag to the front and access your gear. dun even need to take out the bag and leave it on the floor.
flipside got tripod holder too! I never like sling shot... after a while it make kill your shoulder. If TS is a guy, I suggest TS go for flipside 300. becuz it is way too small. lol btw my GF is using Flipside 200 and it is just nice for her. I used to own Flipside 300, So i can tell the diff. Btw now I am using Flipside 400 AW. need not to go for flipside 400 if budget and number of gear is concern.

Yeah, but you should buy a bag to accommodate any new items. Flash will be one of them.

Hey, it's your opinion. There's no reason why a sling will look 'cooler' than a bag to everyone.
The thing about bags is not to store as much as you can, but have the bag be able to bring just what you have or want to bring out. I seldom use my primus AW unless I'm going to school or church because the top compartment will only be filled with books or jackets. Only when I get my 70-200 will I use it a lot more, especially since I have a tripod that can be mounted to the back. I would say, for your kit, flipside 200, or slingshot100 is more than enough. Cheers, Zexun
