    open an image,
    create a action,
    start record,
    resize the image,
    save as web,
choose a folder to save it into,
    close the image without save,
    stop recording

    than run automatic
    select batch
    select action
    select source folder
    ok and run it.

    #1, is "save for web"

#2, you need to save it to complete the "save for web" commend, so it can record it as an action, you can delete the test file from the folder after stop recording the action.

Try the setting up and 'action'. Google it if you're unsure what an action is.
