I think most of us would remember him as creator of the Jurassic Park stories

The first books I read were Sphere and Congo. From then on, I was hooked.
The movies didn't do it justice.

Oh what a pity... he's one of my favorite story tellers, I have all his books...

Seems like he has one last completed book that's yet to be published, and will be released on 4 May next year. Crichton fans will still have something to look forward to...

yes, it came as a shocker to me too on his demise.

i myself have been waiting for his next book for a long time. i started reading his works with 'Jurassic Park'. after that, i began reading his previous works and got hooked.

and now, he's gone. what a shame.

his writings will really get you thinking if such things already happened or will happen in future. an intense story-telling guy.

read it at the BBC site that publisher Harper-Collins is withholding the release of his latest book indefinitely... probably out of respect for him.

Was a shocker for me too when I knew abt it.
And the first book I read from him is not his famous books... it's a non-fiction book called 'Travels' and I enjoyed it quite a bit, and after that, started reading some of his other books...

    Pity indeed...

Oh man.......that's the only book that I read all my life.......

I am totally devastated........oh man......I have all his books.....on hard cover version.

One of my favorite......The Great Train Robbery.

A true genius in his writing.

    May he rest in peace.

Good thing I kept his signed book. I was about to sell it to an used bookstore earlier this year. Didn't expect him to leave us so soon.

now that he's gone... i hope John Grisham will still be around for years to come. Crichton and Grisham are the only authors that i read most.
