Default OM Lenses

Any one here use OM Primes for Low Light shooting or Portraits?
any idea whats the performance like? and the issues of compatibility/using them?

I'm looking for a lenses for low light and portraiture, considering the 35-100 already sends chills down my spine... so I'm looking for other alternatives..

Thanks!

If you haven't already read the articles on Wrotniak's site, suggest you do so:
http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/43/index.html

Other than having to do everything manually, the other thing you have to compensate for is lens colour shift...you can't just select the WB your lights/strobes are, you have to compensate manually for white balance as well...normally with FourThirds lenses that information is automatically sent to the camera.

i use OM50 for portraiture sometimes, just not in low light cause it's nearly impossible for me to focus in darkness,i have a colour cast though, but that's from the filter, but I don't see anything wrong with my E-system,no issue with compatibility, performance wise, good overall, pictures are sharp, but still depends on focusing, lol

I use OM100/2.8 or Nikkor50/1.4. Both are very nice for portraits and I have no problem with exposure or colour shiftings. Works perfectly on the E-3 and also worked as well on the E-500. I have read that some E-510 has some problems.

I use an OM 50mm f2.0 for portrait shoot. I feel that it is amazingly good and beyond my expectation, it need exposure compensation and I need a split screen focus to use it.

But I am a noobie only use standard quality lens before, do not know how it is in comparison with your 35-100.

I have read about problems with messed up WB and exposure inaccuracy. I don't know how lens dependant those issues are, I never experienced any problems at all with my E-500 or E-3, not even wide open. What is more certain is that Katz eye causes exposure problems. This has been confirmed by many people but for some reason some peole can not see that. I think they are not testing properly or use settings where it does not have big effects.
