Just want to find out about the Slik sprint pro GM.
Is there a new version called Slik sprint pro II GM? or is it already called that in the first place? Reason I asked is because I recently got one from CP-P for $126 I had researched about the slik sprint pro and know roughly it was selling before around $90. So when I saw the box and saw the 'II' there...i thought it was a new 2nd version so in the end went along with his quote. Somehow have a feeling kenna eaten by the salesman who quoted me. I say this because when i asked him why not round off quote me $125 instead of $126. He say cannot because they have a minimum amount to adhere to and if he enter $125 , the system will not accept and give a error msg. I was thinking like....wth? trying to be funny izit... But in the end was feeling very tired and decided not to push any further and juz buy and go. Earlier on I asked him another quote about the epson v700 scanner he quoted me 900+ But I just found out that it can be bought around $800. So now I'm thinking he cannot be trusted. |

Anyway, i think based on his quote on the scanner, it is obvious already what kind of approach he was taking and I'll be sure to avoid him in the future. Last edited by Mystix; 5th November 2008 at 02:53 AM. |

from what i can see from the link night86mare posted, diff between the new and old is the sponge grip on the legs and that the tripod head now comes with a quick release system.
looking at the manufacturer site, the specification is the same, but it doesnt show the head with quick release system. http://www.thkphoto.com/products/slik/slik-ss2b.html i got the sprint pro gm version for $70 new. so unless urs come with the quick release system for the head and sponge grip (totally not useful in singapore , only add weight), if not u have paid too much liao.
