Walk along the Yew Tee big longkan last Saturday. It is a good place for IR photo taking.
Camera used is D40x IR mod. ELP IR filter, Lens used is Tokina fisheye 10-17mm, 18-200mm Nikon, f8-9, ISO 200 or 400, no AF adjustment. D40x is very good cam for IR taking. File is large enough for cropping. Light weight. Compact. Easy to carry, Good details and resolution, sharp image. Most important is the large LCD 2.5” give you very good view. Now the price of used D40x is low. I highly recommended this cam for those who want to go into IR photography. Note that #10 and #11 setting on different WB will give you different colors. You can get many different colors combination if you play around the WB setting. #1 ![]() #2 ![]() #3 ![]() #4 ![]() #5 ![]() Last edited by mousedeers; 3rd November 2008 at 09:20 PM. |

will post the original photo out of the cam next day, yes the yellow foliage is naturally output after the channel swap, just need to do some pp on the yellow channel on the selective color.

The first two are really outstanding. You get great colors in your processing.
