Minolta/Sony Lens with unique serial numbers???

Hi, I know this topic is a bit strange, but it is quite interesting if you look it in another way.

I Like to collect old AF lens/cameras bodies (and use it at the same time). Currently my collection is about 19 lens/6 SLR which is still way way much more lesser than some of the guys I know

Anyway, recently I finally persuaded one old timer to sell me his two Mini beercan 35-70. I myself have two copies of this gem lens but what unique about this two lens is the serial number on it

Overall its just two normal old lens,


The serial number is very unique indeed...


So if you guys do came across or own Minolta/Sony Lens with very unique/interesting serial. Do share it here. It will be fun to see

Anyway Mike, is there any way to know what year is a Minolta lens produced by the serial number? Where to get this info? Thanks man, just curious to see what year mine is made.

I afraid I also don't know. Serial numbering/year made/country manufactured records usually is not accessible by us consumer.

Those old timer just told me the larger the number the newer it is. This may not be true or an accurate way to access... but currently this is what I base on when accessing my own collection.

The biggest serial numbering I came across is a 45...... from an almost brand new condition Minolta Beercan own by a collector.
