Hi wanna ask
what the different between Tamron 28-75 (Nikon Mount) that have motor and that without?? i am using D90, and if i buy the one without motor will it still AF?? |

There is no difference, optically. The only difference is the motor. One is screw-driven, one has a built-in motor to focus. Both works very well, although the screw-driven lens tends to focus faster.
Yes, the screw-driven lens with work on your D90. |

No, I believe you don't have to. I'm guessing the lens that has an in-built motor will not have the screw-slot on the lens mount.

Calek is correct. The model built-in motor does not have a screw-slot for focusing and will work normally on the D90. I've been using the built-in motor version on my D70 for 6 months now. No problems there.

If the lens does not have the screw slot, then wouldn't the screw drive on the camera mount be grinding against something, unless, there is a dummy hole to fit the screw drive from the camera?

once the slot key is depressed, there is some dis-engagement i think..
