Default Price for Tamron 18-50 2.8 with built in motor (Nikon mount)

Does anyone know the latest price for Tamron 17-50 2.8 with built in motor (Nikon mount).

Can't find the latest price for this Len.

Btw if I use D40 mean that I have to multiple 17-50 by 1.5 due to crop factor?

Thank in advance

The crop factor is due to the sensor in your camera and nothing to do with your lens. No matter what lens you use (even those old lenses for film cameras), the 1.5x still applies.

The lowest quote I got is from Lords and it is at $600 inclusive of GST. Not sure if it is with motor or not.

Whenever AP quotes low prices for grey sets, they will always tell you they dun have stock. So how to believe them???

AP always offer the lowest prices as compared to everywhere, but they also happen to always have NO stocks.

and when the stocks come..... hmmm.

yup, they're BS-ing

I got mine from a MO(grey) @ $520! I think that's as cheap as it gets

Used mine for about 3+ months and works great!

Can't focus properly in Live-view though...since i suspect Lv uses a completely different focusing system

Basically, no warranty since it's a set imported from another country to be sold here

grey set means an import set that doesnt carry any warranty.

but why spend $520 for a grey set when a warranty one is abt $100?

Two words: Poor. Student.

Anyway, I'm gambling on the fact that repairs (if any) will cost less than $100

get a set with warranty, unless grey set is ridiculously cheap, 3rd party lens are not that 'reliable'

According to the salesman, it comes with a 1 year international warranty.

Read from other CSers that it's usually comes with 1yr international and 3yrs local warranty.
This is if I'm not wrong.
