Default picture comprssion

hi,
pls advise, sony A700 if the photo size is set to S(3M) as compare to M(6.4M), any picture quality differences if will only to print at 4R? thx

I would suggest that you shoot with at least M (6.4MP) size in case you need to crop the pictures or do some post processing. It's always good to have more details. I always leave mine on L size. Just get a bigger card and enjoy shooting.

if you shoot and print straight out from the camera, there won't be any difference, as for 4R is only 2.1MP needed.

thks for all the advise. actually i be going for my holiday in 3 weeks time and this is the first time bringing my DSLR. thought of using S(3M) size throughout the trip as it could fetch me a good number of photos. (2x 4GB card)

I think you're referring to resolution (picture size). Choose M size, but leave compression (quality) at FINE.
