    Default Suggestion needed for tripod

As above, can anyone make recommendations...?

    My photog style: landscapes, nature.

Setup are as follows: EOS 300 with 28-80/75-300. Getting BP300 & flash soon.

Presently using a tripod that extends to abt 1.65m. I am 1.8m tall and I swear after a while of looking thru viewfinder with the cam on tripod, my back aches.

Working on a budget less than $150....

    Thanks..

Get the Manfrotoo 190D Pro version.

    And the EOS300 uses BP200.

    Agreed. Manfrotto's 055 series is taller. 190 series too short for a 1.8m (I am 1.8m+ too)

For $150. (if that budget includes a head) then a 055 series tripod itself will exceed the budget not including the head.

Can try a Slik Able 300DX, should be ard $125, comes with a 3 way pan head so no need to buy head.

    Weight is 2.6kg w/ head, lighter than a 055 if you include a head (a 055 series is ard 2.6kg w/o head)
Load is 5kg, more than enough for your setup.

3 way pan heads are better than ball heads for landscapes and nature.

With the center column extended and the camera mounted, it is high enough (though still not as high as Manfrotto's 055) for me to look through the viewfinder w/o bending my back.
1.55m W/O center column being extended according to specs. After extending it shld be abt 1.7m or more

I have looked up the various recommendations.

190D Pro B at max height is too low for me. Slik Able seems to suit my requirements well. Will have to test it out with my cam before purchase. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Cheers..
