Thread: Have you drop your earphones before?

Default Have you drop your earphones before?

Just wondering whether any of u have dropped your earphone before? I don't mean dropping as in lost them but accidentally dropping them on the floor when u are going to wear them. Sorry if this sounds noob, but does earphone spoils easily if u drop them? I mean will the impact spoils the driver inside? I have never drop my earphones on hard concrete floor before but I did drop them on my bed and onto my bag once or twice when I am going to wear them and they slip from my hand.

i have used countless earphones since young, most can take impact rather well. worry more about the wires snapping or dirt clogging them up.

i have dropped my Grado many times.

See, if a head phone that is meant for carrying around, cannot afford to withstand the impact, then better changed that headphone!

BTW, what headphone r u using now?

Haha ya I agree, if the earphone/headphone drop once or twice then spoils, quite jialat. Shouldn't b so fragile. Anyway my thread more on earphone than headphone coz the former does seems more fragile.

I am using Audio Technica SQ5 for my headphone n UM2 my earphone. U are using which Grado? 80 or 60?

The SR80 is really good, I really like its dynamic sound. I nearly bought it but in the end never becoz its open-can. Dunwan ppl to hear what I am listening to.. U using it indoor or outdoor more?

SR80 is good. open-ness, tight bass, detail music. can plug directly to ipod, laptop, TV, etc

definitely a good buy. strongly recommended. BTW, i tried upgrading to higher series, but find them a bit harsh..

UM2 is quite a tough cookie. No probs with drops and impacts. I even used it in heavy rain before, no brolly and whole body drench from head to toe and it still works. The casing is quite secure but dun let water get into the nozzle.

But dun try it! I cannot gurantee it will work for u.
