Hi, I have a problem. Jus bought an imac and i realise that the data save in my external harddisk(PC formatted) can only be read but no writing is allowed when its connect to my mac. Anyway I can allow both read and write in both platform?

Just format it to FAT32. It can be read and written by Mac and Windows.

before you format the hdd which i assume is in ntfs format, go install these 2 pieces of software
macfuse ntfs-3g they will allow you to read/write to an external hdd.
