Seems like got no perceptible difference in focusing speed?
Or does anyone have a different experience? More accurate focusing under low-speed mode; true? Would like to hear input, thanks!

which camera?
A900 seems to be very accurate with fast or slow... A700 is about the same.. althought A-700 focussing is not that reliable as compare to A900. Hart |

I think in "slow" it is a bit slower, and does an extra check for AF. Not too sure though, I leave it on "fast".

I cannot tell the difference on A700 but on D7D, it is obvious.

I last time I set it to fast on A700, my sigma lens focusing device broke.....
Since then had been using slow on both A700/A900 to play safe. However, i don't feel there's a big difference. |

When you say A700 focusing is not as reliable, do you mean in slow or fast mode, or just in general?

I have tested the two and the only thing I could say is the focus accuracy is the same given the same object focused over the same distance not by frame size. However, if you focus objects by frame size then for the same object ove the same frame size for the Full-frame A900, it has the advantage of being closer to the subject. This form my experience is the probabaly reason why the AF seems "more accurate" at times. Otherwise, its the same.
as for AF Drive mode: Fast or slow? There seem to be no obvious difference comparing the two - at least based on my experience. But you might see the difference on the overshoot return when you try focus a "far" then a "near" object (switching from the two several times) . Where in Slow focus, its a little slower in the racking movement. But there is difference in the speed choice in Dynax 7 film.
