Default It's all about the details...

One thing that I love about the A900 is the sheer amount of detail you can work with. Here's a picture straight off-cam, just resized to 800x600, no extra work done:

And here's a 100% crop from the mouth area. It's wonderfully sharp, which just gives me a huge canvas to play with....

Well, depends... It's not too much for me, at least it allows me to really work with it.

Though it doesn't matter if it's 10MP, 24MP or 3MP... In the end you still need to go through the effort of triaging your pics and cutting them down to the 5-10 you consider keepers. Sigh.

hi rashkae, have you tried using your a900 with the beercan? i wonder if it also has resolution capability like the CZ to get more detail when cropping.

The beercan was designed for full frame. It works like a charm, but is not as sharp as the CZ lenses. It's g-quality sharp though.

nice to know that... obviously its a classic minolta known for its legendary colors while CZ is sharpness. hence i would appreciate if you post a sample shot using the said lens like what you did.. i'm really curious!

Sure, I could try a comparison shot, though the weather here in SG isn't cooperating too much right now. :P

Are you on DPP? I may try joining a november EB since I may need to fly to Manila then.

From what I am seeing on my LCD, you can probably get the same amount of detail with any other camera ................ but then TS has the benefit of any doubt.

Well, it would be good to then check out the captured detail comparison between the D700 and the A900 on anandtech.

As long as you have more pixels and your lens can resolve the pixels you will have higher resolution or details for the same FOV...
