Default Some wierd looking subjects

Was at lower pierce today, took some wierd looking fellas!

FZ30+Raynox 250, F11, 1/30s, 2 diffuse flash, ISO80, handheld

#1: The big head


#2: Big hair do...


#3: Derbid


#4: dunno what....can't see the eyes

They are really interesting subjects! Looks like you can spot all kinds of bugs, anywhere.

haha,you have question asking you whether the pictures were taken in daytime. Well most of your postings of spiders were compliment with green smooth bg.Thats why On a more serious note,the creatures must be very small and you do have great eyes at spotting them.

That is a caterpillar. Wierd looking one!

Well, the BG was lighted up cos of my flash set-up. Even in daylight, its possible to still get dark BG if the exposure is only for the subject, and the BG is not exposed OR the flash does not have enuff power to illuminate it. My camera flash provides top down lighting on subject as well as illuminating the BG, while my fill slave flash fill in the shadows.

great shots!

and i recognised the insect in 1#!

always see this species around my home... wonder why it has that lump though...
