Default Any Comments on Sigma 12-24mm

Hey guys,

Just want to ask if anyone that has used 12-24mm on a FF before.
Maybe a rough review on the quality of the picture taken using it.
The reviews seems pretty decent, so I would just like to ask the experts on their views?
Are there any other good wide angle lens for FF camera?

If you can find a good copy, this lens is supposedly pretty impressive on FF. See here

There are bad copies, even of L lenses. QC is QC, but it is not foolproof.

Hey Caleb,

Any idea how do a newbie see whether it is a good or bad copy?
Do i take a few shots at varying aperature and then zoom in see the quality and then try another copy to compare them?

Or there is like a recommended method of testing?

Thanks

Yes, varying aperture for a fixed focal length is one way.

Another thing to look out for is sharpness of left vs right edge. You'll have to do this at both ends of the zoom range.
