hi guys, im doing a project on manipulation of photos. Do any of you all still know how to say double expose a film so as to create ghost images in the photo? or remove people from pictures for example the one here of stalin and a commisar? I tried searching the net for the actual technique of doing it but I haven't managed to find anything. thanks in advance!

You can do multiple exposures in a studio, say using a black background. So you could have triplets appear on the same piece of film if you move them to different locations in the frame.
You can also do multiple exposures outside, eg. to combine a nightscene with a moon (shot using a long telephoto lens to make it much larger). Manipulation can also be done in the darkroom, eg. to sandwich two negatives so that two different people who never appeared together are in the same picture. |

For double exposure, just crank your shutter without winding your film. It would be fairly easy if you are using a manual camera. When you expose your film more than once, do make sure that your photo isn't over exposed especially when you are in the great outdoors.
