TangShooters - Canon PhotoMarathon 2008

Some of our members went for this year's Canon PhotoMarathon 2008 photography competition. I started this thread to group the pictures that were taken from our fellow TangShooters. Objective is merely to improving our understandings and knowledge towards photography and photography competition.

Congratulation to our member carnage3630 for being short-listed for the first theme : change.

Congratulations to the prize winners. And for those who did not win for this competition, do not be dishearten, you cannot please a picture to everyone, continue to work hard and improve and most important of all, enjoy what photography brings to you.

As usual, our group photo of members participated in this year's event.

I was soo tired and aching and I kept on 'bumping' into TSers and other tog friends!

It was a GREAT DAY out and a great experience!

Or you can still do your own interpretation to the given themes and see where u are when the results is out on the winners!

Like Freedom! Just what we need now. Not only press freedom, but also freedom from those ppl at the top who control everything to their benefits till when things screwed up it affects the people at the bottom the worst!

first time in photomarathon, was very excited, but very tiring as i need to rush back to school half way.

#1 change

Change of colors

Change of time / architec
This was my 2nd pick, i submit the first instead of this, was shocked to see someone with a similar angle of this shot short listed.

#2 Dreams

Her future, my future.
Shot this on my way back from school to suntec, before i had the chance to shoot a closer and wide angle of them with the fountain, a fellow photographer went straight up and scare them awake...

#3 Freedom

Free from the competition, for a while, wanted to portray a feeling of putting your equip down and enjoy the short time of freedom, enjoying the scene. Guess i shot too tight.

Told my feelings to jimmy buttie, and i went up portraying taking out my shoes and look "freedom", shot taken by jimmy buttie, like this angle more.

Overall i believe i still have a long way to go, see you all again next year, canon photomaraton. A great race, inspiring and also convinced me that photography is not all about equips, you need to have passion and creativity =)
