Default Ice Queen - IR model shots

The concept is - as you can guess - Ice Queen.
I have come to a point that I don't bother to flip the channels and stuff. I feel IR is best presented as (sorted by preference):
1. Black and white
2. As is
3. Channel-swapped
For these pics I just apply glow filter and resize it in Picasa prior to uploading.

Comments are welcome

As a self-critiqe I probably could have done better with a reflector or two. Getting correct lighting for IR photo is more tricky than regular photos IMHO. We cannot really predict how IR lights will behave. And of course you also have to deal with that focus shifting problem...

Or, we can just shoot and *get lucky*

hi exolon, do u think using a red reflector will be better than the white ones? thanks.

Dennis, I've never tried red reflector, but I find that golden reflector gets the subject more *illuminated* than silver or white ones.

Nice!
What are the exposure times like? Does model have to hold still for long?

Wow, this is awesome. What is the camera setup for this?

Is this tough for the model to hold the position if the shutter speed takes 10-15s?

Thanks for sharing.

Incredible work!!!

I believe this was done using an IR Modified camera right?

If so, then there is no need for a 10 - 15 second exposure, it shoots just like a normal camera just need to over expose by 3 to 4 stops if I am not wrong So in a sunny day, can still get very fast shutter speeds!

Great stuff...

pretty pictures! I tried taking some IR photos of myself (no one was willing to pose for me zzz) and i like it best the way it is too --- cause the eyes will be blue! when i do the channel swap somehow the eyes turn brownish and i think maybe cause i seldom see people with blue eyes so i like blue eyes better?! hahah!
