Anyone can make claims, just like I can tell you I've seen the Yeti.

It's really hard to say whether his claims are true or not.

Do show it to us or at least submit to press.

When I bought my 400D, I was testing the LCD for Mark III on it, just too bad they decided not to use it at the end.

well....its from canon people....no need to be so sarcastic if you do not believe it.....anyway it is logical that 1D4 should be launch to salvage canon's market share with the number of switch over to Nikon since the launch of D3 and D700.....perhaps it makes the 1D3 owners worried about depreciation of their gears....frankly I did consider switching also, but am holding back to see what happen in next months.

Ok, ok.

In all seriousness, things like this, its not a matter of "if" but a matter of "when". But thanks for sharing anyway.

If the spread of such rumors helps to stem the loss of Canon sports photographers to the dark side, I am sure they'll be praised for their efforts...

Anyway, it is about time for the 1D3 to be replaced, so I am not entirely surprised by this piece of news. But why will they pass the 1D4 to some Singapore technician for evaluation??? Let's face it, Singapore's market is REALLY tiny compared to US, Europe and Japan.

But I seriously hope they introduce some nifty technologies into their future cameras... electronic mirror, lower pixel count that allows ISO settings to reach into the stratosphere etc etc... No more incremental upgrades please.

You mean I did not mention that the 1D MK8 I had has a pixel count of 1.3MP and has a high ISO of 3276800? I couldn't detect any noise at 800%.

What you see are the ones used to take actual photos. My sources said that for every 1D series sold in Singapore for actual photo taking, 5 are sold as collectors' item. That's pretty substantial.

As much as we all criticize, we still want to believe it.
