Default Green Crested Lizard

Was at SBG, and spotted this young GCL frozen in place. I guess he was looking intensely at some prey.....but could not find what it was......it was only after later, when I came back to shoot at it, I realise it was SCARED stiff, as there was a nearby Oriental Whip snake! Too bad could not take the snake as it was too far in the bushes. But this GCL was cooperative!

FZ30+Nikon 6T, some with Sigma CU+nikon 6T, F11,1/30s, 2 diffuse flash, ISO80, handheld.

#1: The Eye

#2:GCL portrait.
This is a PS background shot. BG is natural, but from another of my old shots. Next is the original. Not sure which you find better

#3: Attitude!

#4: You looking at me!

Very good pictures!

I am always amazed how you guys manage to take such nice animal pictures.

Are these taken handheld or camera mounted on a tripod or monopod?

I still have not moved into macro photography as i still playing with my 18 - 200 mm lens. So now learning about street and event photography. But Macro is also in my "To-do-list".

He did said handheld.

TS, I prefer the black background.
Wonder why was it black all rounder though.

How close were your lens on the eye?

It was handheld. Macro is extremely challenging! You should try it!

The background was far away, and not enough light was thrown to the back....hence the dark Background.

If its the 6T, its 29cm. Together with the Sigma CU, its 19cm.

Depending on the CU lens I used. 6T:29cm, 6T+SigmaCU:19cm
