I have a Nikon 18-105mm zoom VR lens which a 67mm filter would fit. I read somewhere that I can attach a Canon 500D to nikon lens for closeup photography. Also, read somewhere else that Nikon 6T also can be used. However, both the 500D and 6T do not have 67mm sizes.
1. Do both the 6T and 500D function the same way? 2. Any experience which one works better? 3. How do I get the 6T and/or 500D to fit my zoom lens? Don't know much about these 6T and 500D |

Nikon 6T had discontinued.
If you want to use a Canon 500D, you can use a step up ring. Some info of the Canon 500D http://www.rogercavanagh.com/helpinfo/18_500d-1.stm |

Both are high quality dual element close up filters. Canon 500D is 2.0 diopter while the 6T is 2.9 diopter so the Nikon will allow slightly higher magnification ( closer focusing ).
Like what Leong23 mentioned, you will probably find the 6T at much higher prices. The 500D is pretty heavy but great close up filter. Used it with my 70-200mm zoom, works beautifully for an infrequent macro shot. Ryan |
