Hijack this thread a bit....

Can anyone advise me whether the wireless remote can be used for bulb mode ? If so, how ? I have the D40x and want to do bulb mode without my fingers on the release..... ha..... kind of spastic standing there for 2 mins with my finger on the release really whilst ppl stroll by and wonder whether this chap has like "frozen".

I have my old D70 wireless remote. Will that do ?

Thanks in advance !

If under remote, bulb changes to time. Press once to open the shutter, then press again to close, don't need to hold!

best to use a remote even if you wanna use your finger to trigger the shutter.

cos everytime u press the button, you will definitely shake the tripod, no matter how minute. I will get double images almost 96% of the time. i stopped getting them when i used the remote, thats when i figured out that its my fault that the blur images are happening.

Yup, I was wondering this too when I got my remote, whether must press and hold for bulb mode!

Thankfully there's time mode, which makes it really convenient. Have fun!

Should be $16, at least that's how much I paid for mine... Very cheap already la...

Looking at the priceguide, looks like someone paid $12 for it, but don't know whether you can get that price now...
