Default upgraded kit to 14-54mm

hi guys,
my 1st attempt post new thread on 4/3.been seeing many post on the 4/3 section and amazed at the knowledge i can get from here and great responses from experienced pple.

got my e410 last year when it was 1st launched. been using for a year, taking mainly my baby gal. never regret getting it and still loving every moment. altho i start to find the kit lens a little slow. so after some forum research and a visit to oly new showroom to test the 14-54 & 12-60mm, i find no diff between on 14-54 & 12-60, but noticeable diff with my kit 14-42, apart from faster in speed, it seems to focus faster as well. so i bought the 14-54mm from mscolor for 770sgd, loving it more and more...plus the bokeh is nicer...

after reading for past weeks, i realized there's so much i duno...so i hope to find time to post more, learn more & maybe join more sessions so as to learn more

Welcome wong. Congratulations on your 14-54. I have both the 1454 and the 1260. I have a healthy respect for the 1454. In fact, I like it more than the 1260 cos it is more compact and lighter. As a result I use it on my E3 all the time unless I need wider, or faster, then I screw on the 1260.

Thanks. same sentiments on the weight. i also couldn't find a significant performance improvement to justify paying 600 bucks more, maybe it's just me, maybe i'm using e410...

I believe the 12-60 gets slower up the focal length faster than the 14-54 does as well.
