Have one for my Sigma SD14.
Very sharp zoom lens ! Any back/front focussing can be corrected at the Sigma Service Centre. Seems that Sigma lenses are quite prone to front/back focussing problems. 2 out of my 3 Sigma lenses needed some form of calibration at the Sigma Service Centre to correct for front/back focussing problem. This is one good reason to buy local warrantied Sigma lenses as the correction is free for local sets... not so for grey sets.

I've got it, sent it for recalibration before I started shooting.
It's v v sharp, the colours are fantastic, and the bokeh is amazing. Given that it can focus relatively close, the bokeh only gets creamier and creamier if you use it well. ![]() |

hmm... i've been thinking of a travel lens and this one seems to fit the bill... i always try to get as wide aperture as possible... is QC a real issue with this as well? seems sigma always has lemons..
thought of getting a used EF70-200L f/4 but then came across this on fredmiranda... anyone has shots taken at widest? wanna see how soft the image becomes... also low-light if possible... i hate using flash... thanks-a-muchos |

Guys,
Would be good if you could update the lens and price in the sticky thread. ![]() for the longest time I wanted to get a 50-150 and before i know it, the mark II is out. But it's alot more expensive than the original. I wonder how much better it is comparing to mark I for the difference in $300?
