Thread: Copyright issues with digital?

    Default Copyright issues with digital?

Unlike film, where the photographers have a physical copy of their works, digital has no easy way to prove their copyright. There's a very interesting discussion going on at Photo.Net now @ http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-...?msg_id=0026vQ.

can the one who hold the original, unedited picture be the owner?

usually pple won't post or put up the original, unedited photo online cos they can be as large as 2MB for jpg.

i keep all the uneditied photo in my HDDs, and only post those resized version online

I agree with kamwai. The best way to prove authenticity is to take a look at the quality and and resolution of the picture. Usually, the picts posted on the net are of a lower resolution compared to the original. If a company stole your photo, it is very difficult to reproduce the quality and resolution that the original has, even with Photoshop.
