I got a new toy!

Pictures taken from my new toy, the digital Lomo keychain, Minimo.

Got it yesterday and did some test shots on it.

As below!

To me, the pictures looks rather lomo-ic, without any PS done to the photos.

Camera is very portable and also, nice. But there is a lag between the pressing of the button to taking the pictures, and also, this little thing is more battery consuming than what i expected. Kill one AAA energizer in about 80 shots.
But the good thing is that, no more buying film and developing them.

haha. I got this from a seller, Sin Ee from another forum. He is the distributor for this toy for this region. But anyway, heard that it is going to go InQBox outlets.

good for ya =) ... i just did a google ... looks exactly like the vq1005 ... but the seller claims it's better? ... i dunno ...

solution to the poor battery life ... bring a small piece of paper/plastic and wedge it between the battery and contact when not in use ... a bit mah fan if u wanna shoot instantly .. (it's not very instant anyway) ...

as for framing ... if u place it over your right eye, what u see in your left eye is approximately what the camera will see ... takes a bit of practise ...

i just bought a pair of aaa rechargables for my vistaquest cam ... will be starting or rather reviving my a lomo a day sometime soon =) probably after exams ...

HAHA. THanks for ur tips. I now take the battery out when not shooting. The paper is a good idea. I do agree that it looks exactly like the VQ1005, only with the 2 megapixel VS 1.3 differences. Even the keychain is the same.

Good luck on your a lomo per day! I shall do a personal one and see if i really can take at least one per day. If i could, maybe i should go for a minimo picture a day next year. LOL

oh? the vq1005 is 2mp... but normal setting is 1.3mp... ... if shooting at 1.3mp, it's actually a crop of the 2mp... aspect changes too..

at 2mp, it' 4x6, at 1.3mp, it's 4x5 ... sides chopped off + lower res.. mainly to save memory... but i prefer to use it at 1.3mp, more convenient xD

Icic. Cause 1 of the sources i read mention that vq1005 is 1.3mp didnt know that it is 2mp. I also shoot at a lower res too and it is very troublesome to change it everything to 2mp. The default everytime the camera on is 1.3mp.

I just got mine!
it is kinda expensive for a novelty. But it is capable of taking nice photos!
