Hi, I've got a question on the above subject matter.
The number of possible shots will obviously change when you change the picture quality, say from L to S, or from M to RAW. Does anyone know why if we change the ISO setting, the number of possible shots also changes? I'm using a Canon 5D and I just realized this! |

High ISO files are bigger.

most image compression methods are dependent on the amount of details in the picture; due to ISO noise and high contrast high ISO files typically have more "details" to record albeit useless details. Compression algorithm can't see good pixels from bad pixels.
