Default Airial Infrared

I recently flew from San Diego to Denver and had a window seat so I decided to try using my IR converted P&S camera to see how things might come out. I was very pleased with the facinating results. I used several different ways of processing the photos. This first one of San Diego used a red/ blue channel swap plus some other color adjustments. Blur at the bottom of both of these pictures is from the jet exhaust.

A community in San Diego. Looks like a computer circuit board so I made it more golden.

Default Western Plains and Grand Canyon Area

From the air, land features become abstract textures.
Somewhere in Arizona:

Portion of the Grand Canyon (I only had a limited view of the Canyon). This one was converted to a color negative before processing.

Lake and Dam:

Wow! Fascinating! If I never saw the plane tip, I'd think that these images are taken off a UAV!

Wow, they're amazingly clear and sharp!

Thank you everyone for the comments. I was really excited about the shots when I was taking them and enjoyed working on the post processing. I tried to do each one a little differently. I wanted a window seat for the trip home but had a middle one instead. It is fun to try infrared on different things besides the basic trees and water and sky- which are very nice too. It is just that after over a year I have done them already and want to see what else I can do. Experiment- that is what IR is all about for me. I like the unpredictability.
