can use it as a 16mm prime on full frame, according to ken rockwell. 15mm, if u shoot without hood or filter.

i have every intention to try this out on my F100.. hee hee. i'm thinking that in low light, i can get away with shooting even wider than 15mm, esp if my corners are dark anyway.

problem is, this Mee Too at jusco taking too bloody long to bring in my lens. save $50-80 bucks (base on prices quoted by members here) but wait more than a month. sianz.

anyway, there are one or two other threads on this lens topic. should check those out as well

Is this with a distributor warranty or is it a grey set?

Local set, with distributor warranty. Inside of the box is stamped with "singapore"

Yup that should be correct. Apparently the stamp thing is a safeguard to differentiate local and grey sets, but like who in their right mind brings the box to the distributor when repairing their lens...

i just "joined the club"

i had to wait more than 6 weeks to receive my lens but finally i got it.

Price after conversion (got it in JB) is SGD883. not such a fantastic deal but ah well. only slightly cheaper or about the same as buying locally.

it seems to be really sharp from the few test shots i took at the shop. shot at wide open and corner sharpness on DX at least is very decent.

works on film/FX at 15 and 16mm zoom, without filter. At least on the F100 viewfinder (i think is 100%), there is no vignetting.

just screwed on my B+W filter and i guess i can only shoot at 16mm on film now but no worries

oh yes, AF is pretty fast and quiet too.

now it's all up to me to put it to good use. i'd say it's a worthy buy and if one can't get good shots with it, it's not the lens. but then again, i have no issues with using 3rd party lenses even IF the quality loses to nikon lens. considering the $$$ i save
