Hi all. Anyone tried these alternatives to replace the costly MB-D10 with D700?

budget option mebbe... but without the EL4 battery, u won't get the sustained fps if u need it. plus... if the d700 is anything like the d300, it will be a battery hog. so the el3e batteries might not have the juice for long shoots.

Hi. I think the (2) one have everything the original MB-D10 has. Including the EN-EL4 option for those who need high fps enable.
So both are not from Nikon. Anyone have experience? Thanks. |

I dun think D300 is a battery hog... but D200 is a battery hog. I can get around 800-1000 shots from a fully charged ENEL3E on my D300. I'm not sure about the D700 though.

when i use the 3e batt on d300, it will probably last me abt half-day worth of shooting at events filling up a 16GB CF card. with the e4 batt, i can last the day and a little more to the following day. YMMV tho.

Hi all. I actally contacted the HKsupplies. And in the email they replied, they just asked me to order on the ebay. Wonder if it is trustworthy.
Anyone have experience with HKsupplies with other items? This is their ebay online store links - http://stores.ebay.com/Hong-Kong-Sup...3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm |

Hi gerald. Thanks a million for the link to HKsupplies. Just called them and indeed they have the BP-D700. And can put in the original Nikon batteries. Now only left the reliability side of the story. If reliability ok. Will consider, as it is half the price of MB-D10.
Thanks alot. |

There is another new 3rd party D300/D700 grip on eBay. It looks exactly the same as the original:

Hello all, as I'm a newbie as well, I see that there are many alternatives to the MB-D10 in the market.
Now, I am quite interested in the BP-D300 (MB-D10) – For Nikon D300, D700 but am quite skeptical to commit to buying as I'm afraid that the performance might just disappoint me. May I ask if any of you here have tried any kinds of alternatives to MB-D10? If yes, how is it comparable to the original? Hope to hear from you soon! Rdgs. |
